Position Overview:
We are seeking a Utility Operator responsible for supporting various departmental activities as needed. This role requires effective and efficient operations with minimal oversight, involving regular interaction with fellow employees, supervisors, and other personnel. The Utility Operator will be expected to fill in at any station within the department as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the facility, including material handling, while being proficient in operating all equipment related to the department.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Conduct Operator Preventive Maintenance (OPM's) as scheduled.
  • Assist in training new and existing employees in assembly and machine operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department, contributing positively as a team member.
  • Be knowledgeable and capable of performing all roles within the department, including assembly and production equipment operations, changeovers, setups, and quality checks.
  • Lead changeovers for complete lines or sections as necessary.
  • Manage all related paperwork, including production reports and labor transactions, and assist with updates for team meetings.
  • Ensure all quality checks and testing are completed within the department.
  • Be certified to operate any powered mobile equipment in the area.
  • Possess skills to repair products typically handled by other personnel.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
