Overview:

In the role of Engineering Project Coordinator, you will operate under the guidance of the Sales Manager, receiving daily direction from designated Project Manager(s). This position is pivotal in orchestrating all technical aspects of assigned projects, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders, including external clients and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in tasks such as estimating, job cost forecasting, and preparing close-out documentation.
  • Assist in drafting proposals, memos, subcontracts, and change orders pertinent to project execution.
  • Facilitate relationships within internal departments, including accounting, purchasing, and engineering.
  • Conduct surveys of existing structures to identify enhancement opportunities and collect essential data on energy consumption and building functionality.
  • Develop preliminary designs to support comprehensive budget and pricing strategies.
  • Employ ACCO standard engineering technologies to provide technical assistance during construction, including planning, design interpretation, and value engineering.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to manage scope, pricing, and delivery of purchased materials.
  • Oversee job progress on-site, utilizing your design expertise to address operational and installation challenges as they arise.
  • Handle daily administrative tasks such as Document Control, RFIs, and procurement logs as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate project personnel activities to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets, tracking labor and material deliveries effectively.
  • Identify potential issues and assist the Senior Project Manager in resolving them efficiently.
  • Maintain and foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers through active participation in meetings and effective communication.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or upper management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a preference for Mechanical Engineering concentration, or 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.

Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to perform essential functions, including:

  • Regularly sitting, standing, and using hands for computer operation.
  • Walking, climbing, and performing inspections as necessary.
  • Lifting and moving items up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Maintaining routine attendance and adhering to scheduled work hours.

Work Schedule:

This is a non-exempt position with a standard workweek from Monday to Friday, typically from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, including breaks as scheduled.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly wage ranging from $33.31 to $43.10, determined by various factors including experience and qualifications.
