Position Overview
AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team.
The responsibilities of the Construction Project Coordinator include:
- Working within a field construction team in a specialized or general role.
- Assisting in the supervision of construction activities across designated areas.
- Receiving ongoing guidance and direction in executing assigned tasks.
- Collaborating with the assigned Superintendent or Project Manager for technical and operational support.
- Facilitating the planning and coordination of subcontractor operations within the designated area.
- Monitoring subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Reviewing resource requirements, including manpower, materials, and equipment, in conjunction with the supervising superintendent.
- Enforcing established policies, procedures, and work regulations as directed by Field Management.
- Assisting in implementing safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Ensuring that safety practices are followed by all personnel in the operational area and that tools and equipment are maintained in safe working condition.
- Preparing necessary reports and keeping supervisors updated on the progress of assigned tasks.
- Under the guidance of the Superintendent or Project Manager, monitoring subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to project plans and timelines.
- Reviewing construction methodologies, schedules, and resource allocations as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with all internal and external documentation requirements, focusing on accurate timekeeping and material delivery records.
- Utilizing current construction management systems for record-keeping, including daily logs and project documentation.
- Providing support to contractors regarding scheduling challenges.
- Monitoring project pre-planning activities, including schedules, resource utilization, and material handling.
- Engaging with clients, architects, and design professionals to ensure alignment with design objectives and client satisfaction.
- Fostering effective communication among field management, project management, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and timely completion.
- Continuously enhancing professional knowledge and skills to drive innovation and productivity within the team.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
