Position Title: Automation Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the successful execution of all project phases, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare and update monthly financial forecasts, managing contracts to align with financial objectives and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate all operations related to the contract, including turnover meetings, scope definition, construction scheduling, and customer relations.
  • Monitor project efficiency, maintaining operational expenses at a minimal level while adhering to industry standards and contractual requirements.
  • Provide technical and administrative guidance to staff, ensuring effective completion of work assignments.
  • Plan and delegate significant project tasks to supervisory personnel, establishing maintenance priorities as necessary.
  • Collaborate with branch management on staffing decisions, including hiring, promotions, and terminations.
  • Consult with client staff on construction-related issues and challenges.
  • Guide project coordinators in the procurement of materials, supplies, and services.
  • Maintain effective communication with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors involved in new or renovation projects.
  • Ensure comprehensive record-keeping and procedural compliance for project management.
  • Implement safety protocols in collaboration with the Safety Director, ensuring that all field personnel receive appropriate training and adhere to safety practices.
  • Provide necessary information to administrative staff for timely processing of project documentation and correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field in construction.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in HVAC, Controls, and Plumbing Project Management.
  • Preferred 5+ years of experience managing large-scale retrofit projects in mechanical/controls.
  • Proficient in proposal writing, scope development, scheduling, and contractor coordination, with a solid understanding of construction operations.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage all aspects of new or renovation projects effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate with clients to resolve complex issues satisfactorily.
  • Experience in working with diverse teams and management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning proprietary systems and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills in organizing and guiding teams.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively, adapting to shifting priorities.
