Key Duties:

  • Perform essential responsibilities typical of an Entry Level/Intern Project Engineer.
  • Document project meetings and prepare minutes.
  • Establish and maintain an organized electronic filing system.
  • Update and manage all drawings, specifications, and logs.
  • Support the creation of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules.
  • Help in updating and maintaining the master CPM schedule.
  • Understand and evaluate basic construction techniques and methodologies.
  • Implement a site-specific safety plan, including audits and training sessions.
  • Distribute project documents to subcontractors and keep document logs current.
  • Assess field issues and document Project Change Instructions (PCI).
  • Maintain PCI logs within the CMiC system.
  • Review and process submittals.
  • Prepare and manage submittal and procurement logs.
  • Carry out expediting tasks as required.
  • Verify and code time sheets accurately.
  • Code Accounts Payable workflows as assigned.
  • Confirm original estimate quantities for labor cost reports.
  • Track quantities in place and maintain labor cost reports.
  • Prepare documentation for extra work orders.
  • Review and compile change order submissions and quantity surveys.
  • Maintain PCI logs in the CMiC system.
  • Establish and oversee a Quality Management system.
  • Maintain a progress photo album.
  • Compile contract closeout documents, including operation and maintenance manuals and as-built drawings.
  • Keep record set drawings updated.
  • Document punch list activities.
  • Execute basic functions of Building Information Modeling and model management.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or completion of a Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction or a related field.
  • Preferred internship experience in construction.
  • Field experience, such as carpentry, is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of construction cost accounting.
  • Fundamental estimating and scheduling abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and demonstrate initiative.
  • Advanced drafting and computer skills are a plus.
  • Familiarity with virtual construction technology systems is preferred.
Compensation:

Annual Salary:
$63, $95,400.00
