The role of a Project Engineer is essential in cultivating future professionals with comprehensive construction knowledge across various disciplines. This position plays a vital role in supporting Field Operations and Estimating functions to achieve their strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a culture of safety by actively participating in safety meetings and training sessions, contributing to a zero-injury environment.
  • Identify and report safety enhancements and hazardous conditions to ensure compliance with corporate safety standards.
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in problem-solving and maintaining adherence to company policies and project standards.
  • Support the coordination of resources for assigned projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with Estimators to perform material takeoffs and compile data for bid proposals.
  • Prepare accurate estimates by reviewing specifications and historical data to project necessary resources.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of company policies and project standards.
  • Manage internal documentation and administrative tasks, including project logs, reports, and estimates.
  • Engage in professional development to advance within the company, gaining exposure to various operational areas.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Up to five years of experience in the construction industry or related technical training.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background check.
  • Valid Driver's License and current safety training certifications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and utilizing computer-aided design systems.
  • Familiarity with project management and estimating software.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment, materials, and applicable standards.
  • Understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs.
