Position Overview
The Automotive Retail Operations Manager plays a crucial role in steering the daily operations of the store and guiding the team. This position is pivotal in advancing Monro's vision of being a leader in the automotive service sector, recognized for delivering exceptional maintenance and repair services.
Compensation: $22.00-$30.00 per hour, along with additional incentives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and mentor sales and technical team members to ensure a consistent 5-star guest experience.
- Achieve sales targets by crafting and executing effective sales strategies, leveraging comprehensive knowledge of services, products, and the automotive landscape.
- Promote tire and service offerings to enhance sales, guest satisfaction, and loyalty.
- Support team members in creating a productive sales atmosphere through training and development in all operational and guest service aspects.
- Oversee staffing needs by managing recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and team development.
- Control expenses by managing payroll, utility costs, and other controllable expenditures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Management Responsibilities:
The Automotive Retail Operations Manager provides daily leadership to all store positions, including General Service Technicians, Technical Service Managers, and Assistant Managers, operating under the guidance of the District Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of demonstrated leadership experience in a retail or sales environment.
- Proven track record of managing financial performance while controlling costs.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve established goals.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Customer-focused mindset with extensive experience in service-oriented environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information effectively.
- Business acumen with a commitment to exceeding performance targets.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculating discounts, commissions, and percentages.
- Proactive approach with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of making informed decisions based on data.
- Experience in mentoring and developing team members.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This role is based in an automotive shop environment, with exposure to moderate noise levels and various physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and performing tasks that require bending and reaching.
