Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Koch Industries. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the Electrical team to work injury-free/incident free in a continuous manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Electrical Team: Assist in leading the Electrical team to work injury-free/incident free in a continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Supervise Electrical Department Efforts: Supervise/coordinate electrical department efforts that drive improvement in all associated work processes affecting EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costs.
  • Support Production Processes: Support the production processes to align and optimize the manufacturing enterprise in delivering value to the business.
  • Facilitate Team Development: Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolution, building employee commitment and ownership and holding employees accountable.
  • Drive Safety Excellence: Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement the appropriate mitigating strategies based on the risk involved.
  • Monitor Quality of Craft Work: Monitor the quality of craft work and provide direction to crew members to maximize efficiency.
  • Assist with Troubleshooting: Assist with troubleshooting production issues.
  • Provide Safety Training: Provide safety training to crew members; coaching; team development/performance management.
  • Data Entry and Reporting: Data entry and completing/generating reports.
Requirements
  • Electrical Experience: Five (5) or more years of electrical experience in a heavy industrial setting.
  • Supervisory Experience: Two (2) or more years supervisory experience in a manufacturing or military environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, and drives.
  • Remote Troubleshooting: Working experience with remote troubleshooting.
  • Electrical and Controls Systems: Working knowledge of electrical and controls systems.
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge and experience with MS Word and Excel, and other PC-based production and maintenance reporting applications.
  • Problem-Solving Tools: Experience routinely utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or other similar problem-solving tools.
  • Reliability and Maintenance: Experience in leading improvement efforts in Reliability, Predictive and Preventive Maintenance.
  • Electrical Drawings: Experience reading electrical drawings.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems: Working knowledge and experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Manufacturing Environment: Able to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of time in noisy, dusty, non-air conditioned or unheated areas.
  • Safety and Compliance: Able to work safely, and promote and enforce safe work practices.
  • Temperature and Environment: Working in high and low temperatures, outside and indoors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree or Higher: Associate degree or higher in related technical field.
  • Wood Products Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience in a wood products manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical Supervisor Experience: Previous experience as an electrical Supervisor.
  • Power Distribution and Controls: Experience with power distribution, Allen Bradley PLC (studio 5000), Powerflex drive, HMI, and Robotics.
