About the Role

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator to support our Building Products Group Plywood Operations. This role will be based out of our Emporia, VA manufacturing complex, where you will work closely with the HR Manager and site leadership to drive human resource initiatives that promote continuous improvement and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Systems Administration: Provide administrative support for HR systems, including time and attendance, electronic records management, and HR data management.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Compile and analyze data from multiple sources to understand key performance indicators and maintain HR dashboards.
  • Supervisor Effectiveness: Partner with operations leaders to drive supervisor effectiveness in areas of time, attendance, and performance management systems.
  • HR Services Delivery: Work closely with the HR team to deliver a range of HR services, including employee relations, recruiting, compliance, labor relations, compensation, organizational development, and workforce strategies.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting employee engagement and well-being.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Identify HR compliance risks and develop gap closure plans to address risks while implementing a systematic approach to maintaining compliance.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in human resources, administrative support, or project management/coordination role.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
