Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled IT Support Technician to enhance our operational capabilities. This role is primarily based in our corporate office and requires a significant on-site presence due to the nature of the responsibilities involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver first-level support for desktop, laptop, conference room technology, and peripheral hardware issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve software-related challenges, including operating systems and applications.
  • Manage network connectivity concerns to ensure consistent internet access for all users.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and software across both Microsoft and Apple platforms, ensuring regular maintenance for optimal performance and security.
  • Oversee user accounts and permissions across various systems.
  • Assist personnel with general IT inquiries and technical challenges.
  • Facilitate on-site and remote training for clinical staff and faculty by ensuring the proper setup of audio/visual equipment.
  • Provide training and support to enhance user proficiency with new technologies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for common technical issues and procedures.
  • Support HR functions related to employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Log and monitor incidents and service requests utilizing an IT service management platform.
  • Prioritize and escalate issues as necessary to guarantee timely resolutions.
  • Follow up with users to confirm satisfactory issue resolution.
  • Assist executive leadership with their hardware and software inquiries, ensuring the availability of essential technological resources.
  • Collaborate with fellow IT team members to address complex IT infrastructure challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical personnel to understand and meet their needs.
  • Engage in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of IT services.
  • Implement and uphold IT security policies and practices.
  • Conduct regular security audits to safeguard against unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; or equivalent training, certification, and/or experience.
  • Prior experience in a desktop support or similar technical support capacity.
  • Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and basic server administration is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and common desktop applications.
  • Understanding of networking principles and troubleshooting (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with remote desktop tools and IT service management software.
  • Ability to perform basic hardware troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Access, and Identity Management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in engaging with executive-level personnel.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Exhibit patience and a customer-centric approach.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours to address urgent issues as needed.
  • Physical capability to move and set up equipment may be required.
  • On-call responsibilities may be part of the role, depending on organizational needs.
