Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled professional to assist in the coordination of procurement activities with subcontractors and suppliers. This role involves managing requests for quotations (RFQs), reviewing quotation reports, conducting meetings, negotiating terms, and preparing comprehensive cost comparison sheets for managerial review.

Key Responsibilities


The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting quantity take-offs based on approved construction drawings for designated work packages.
  • Preparing detailed monthly progress cost and budget control reports.
  • Performing weekly site visits to collaborate with the construction team, ensuring accurate assessments of physical work completed to facilitate timely subcontractor payments.
  • Requesting, reviewing, and negotiating variation orders with subcontractors, preparing documentation for managerial review, and submitting to the employer.
  • Compiling data from subcontractors each month to create Monthly Applications for Payment (AFP) for each work package, ensuring accuracy and detail to substantiate claims.
  • Assisting in final settlement negotiations with subcontractors upon project completion.
  • Participating in all work package meetings with the construction team and providing updates to the Contracts and Procurement Manager and other Quantity Surveying staff.
Job Requirements


We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Age: 30-50
  • Gender: Any
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Language: Intermediate proficiency in English
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor Engineer.
    • Intermediate knowledge of building or mall bills of quantities, with the ability to assess quotations for value, cost, and quality.
    • Proficient negotiation skills for managing payments and variation orders with subcontractors.
    • Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities and intermediate knowledge of relevant software programs for Quantity Surveying and CAD.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic.
    • Experience as a Site Engineer or in a construction site environment is advantageous.
