We are in search of a Senior Cost Estimator who will play a pivotal role in the estimation process for significant construction projects. This professional will be responsible for generating comprehensive estimates for both conceptual and extensive works, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accurately assessed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of project requirements and specifications.
- Identify and select appropriate metrics to ensure accurate estimates.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to gather vital information.
- Review project documentation and consult with specialists to obtain necessary data.
- Analyze collected data to produce reliable forecasts.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges.
- Prepare detailed reports and bids for submission to relevant stakeholders.
- Evaluate offers and quotes to select the most beneficial options.
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including subcontractors and architects.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in estimating, cost control, or engineering, with at least 4 years focused on estimating in similar construction environments.
- Strong coordination and leadership skills to guide team efforts.
- Proficient in computer systems and software relevant to the estimating process.
- Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, along with familiarity with structural and architectural disciplines, codes, and regulations.
