Position Summary:We are looking for a seasoned Senior Construction Estimator to join our accomplished Cost Management team in the San Francisco Bay area. This team is responsible for consulting on a diverse range of large-scale construction management programs for prominent clients in sectors such as Real Estate, Data Centers, High-Tech & Manufacturing, and Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Formulating cost plans and estimates from initial concept through to detailed design.
- Assisting clients with land acquisition processes.
- Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at key design milestones.
- Evaluating proposed design modifications and new technologies, preparing estimates with appropriate accuracy.
- Understanding various design stages and their corresponding estimate levels.
- Providing commercial insights during design optioneering and value engineering initiatives.
- Preparing cash commitment forecasts throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Collaborating with stakeholders in the development of estimates and cost plans.
- Analyzing labor markets and cost influences, including unions and taxation.
- Supporting clients with monthly presentations.
- Delivering Life Cycle Costing models.
- Integrating benchmarking to ensure precise data capture.
- Proven experience in a construction cost role, developing estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Educational background in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
- Exceptional communication skills and comfort in client-facing roles.
- Experience in creating program-level estimates for medium to large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction industry technical aspects, including value management and value engineering.
- Familiarity with CostX software is advantageous.
- Experience in commercial real estate across various sectors, including hospitality, interiors, and retail, is highly desirable.
The salary range for this full-time position is between $120K and $150K annually. This range reflects base salary only and may vary based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
