Overview
We are looking for a proficient HVAC Estimation Specialist to enhance our operations at Gulfstream Strategic Placements. This position demands a meticulous professional capable of evaluating construction documents, effectively liaising with clients and project teams, and overseeing the estimation process comprehensively.
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate blueprints, construction plans, and relevant documentation to create precise time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Examine project specifications and documentation for potential scope or pricing implications, identifying any conflicts or issues.
- Source and assess material, equipment, and subcontractor quotations to guarantee precision and competitiveness.
- Generate conceptual estimates for budgeting considerations, taking into account all pertinent project elements.
- Engage in clear and effective communication with clients, general contractors, construction managers, engineers, and designers regarding modifications or adjustments to estimates.
- Establish and maintain cost databases, leveraging historical data and spreadsheets to enhance estimation accuracy.
- Collect all necessary client information, analyze the data, and compile a comprehensive and precise project cost.
- Demonstrate strong collaborative traits, working alongside colleagues and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC estimation, particularly in commercial and industrial sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation techniques.
- Expertise in interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to interact effectively with clients and project teams.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
