Turner & Townsend is in search of a skilled Senior Electrical Estimator who can fulfill client needs through the provision of a comprehensive cost management service.

The Senior Electrical Estimator will collaborate with our team and oversee electrical estimates and cost consulting for a distinguished array of commercial, data center, industrial, high-tech, and manufacturing construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver estimates and cost planning, including the creation and presentation of the final cost plan.
  • Capable of estimating at conceptual, programming, and detailed levels.
  • Assist in feasibility studies and the preparation of procurement reports.
  • Manage all procurement aspects, including overseeing the pre-qualification phase, generating bid lists, conducting bid analysis, producing bid reports, and compiling contractual documents.
  • Effectively engage in post-contract cost variances and change control processes, referring significant changes to the line manager as necessary.
  • Oversee cost checks and perform valuations on larger projects, ensuring a timely and precise cost checking and valuation process.
  • Generate monthly post-contract cost reports and present findings to clients.
  • Contribute to value engineering; negotiate and finalize accounts.
  • Maintain communication with clients and other consultants throughout all project stages.
  • Provide leadership to the cost management team when required, ensuring accountability in all areas.
  • Identify opportunities for business development with existing clients and report these opportunities to the appropriate line manager, utilizing the marketing database.
  • Propose enhancements for cost management procedures, templates, and products, referring ideas to the relevant business unit.
Qualifications:
  • Strong technical background in all cost management areas; pre-contract, post-contract, and final account.
  • Exhibit excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad Navisworks, and/or other relevant software.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various construction procurement methods.
  • Experience advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
  • Familiarity with key aspects of business development.
  • Broad knowledge and experience across multiple industry sectors.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management with a Technical Focus, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in large data center, commercial real estate, or comparable construction projects.
  • Proven experience in preparing extensive electrical cost estimates.
  • Construction experience related to electrical systems.
  • Experience with all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems as they pertain to data center and commercial real estate construction projects.
Additional Information:

The salary range for this full-time position is $130K-$160K per year. This range is determined by role and level and represents a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. It reflects base salary only, not the total compensation package.
