Senior Space Enterprise Optimization Analyst

As a Senior Space Enterprise Optimization Analyst, you will play a critical role in solving the hardest problems and providing unmatched technical expertise.
This position requires a deep understanding of space systems, optimization techniques, and simulation development. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to define and address customer needs, applying concurrent engineering methods to support the design of space missions. Your expertise will be essential in delivering technical insights through analytical deep dives, trade studies, and assessments.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct deep dives, trade studies, and assessments to define and address customer needs
- Apply concurrent engineering methods to support the design of space missions
- Leverage in-house and commercial- and government-off-the-shelf engineering analysis tools to deliver technical insights
- Contribute to the development of analysis software tools and enhance existing simulation and analysis capabilities
- Develop and present timely and technically accurate presentations and reports
- Build and maintain a strong base of customers and collaborators
- B.S. degree in aerospace, astronautical, or mechanical engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics, or a related field of science or engineering
- Three or more years of relevant and progressive professional experience
- Experience with constellation design, orbital mechanics, or mathematics related to satellite access geometry
- Significant history of making effective contributions to a wide range of technical analysis or development projects
- Ability to support multiple programs and/or activities simultaneously
- Knowledge of Python, C, C++, MATLAB, or another programming language
- A graduate degree or extensive work experience in the fields of study mentioned above
- Work history in one of the specific national security space or intelligence mission areas
- Background in optimization techniques, genetic algorithms, space mission design, satellite constellation performance modeling, satellite orbit access analysis, simulation development, or payload/bus design
- Experience independently creating, executing, and debugging modeling and simulation tools
The Aerospace Corporation offers a competitive compensation package, including a grade-based pay range of $100,300 - $150,400.
