Job Title: Space Enterprise Optimization Analyst

As a Space Enterprise Optimization Analyst, you will be part of a team that solves the hardest problems and provides unmatched technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct deep dives, trade studies, and assessments to define and address customer needs in space architecture design and optimization, trade space exploration, and portfolio analysis.
  • Leverage in-house and commercial- and government-off-the-shelf engineering analysis tools to deliver technical insights through analytical deep dives, trade studies, and assessments.
  • Develop and present timely and technically accurate presentations and reports that clearly communicate analysis results and provide recommended solutions to technical leads, management, and customers.
  • Build and maintain a strong base of customers and collaborators for the department through effective working relationships with cross-organization partners, government customers, and contractor teammates.
Requirements:
  • M.S. or Ph.D. from an accredited college/university program in aerospace, astronautical, mechanical, or systems engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics, or a related field of science or engineering.
  • Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation.
  • 0-1 year of experience.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Experience with constellation design, orbital mechanics, mathematics related to satellite access geometry, or optimization.
  • Knowledge of Python, C, C++, MATLAB, or another programming language.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Background in optimization techniques, genetic algorithms, space mission design, satellite constellation performance modeling, satellite orbit access analysis, simulation development, or payload/bus design.
  • Experience independently creating, executing, and debugging modeling and simulation tools.
