About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil/Water/Wastewater Engineer-EIT to join our team in Washington, D.C. As a key member of our Water business, you will play a critical role in delivering sustainable solutions to ensure water is where it should be and available when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use knowledge of general concepts of relevant engineering elements, including the analysis and design of water supply, distribution, and treatment systems, sewerage networks, and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Perform basic calculations to analyze and design water/wastewater system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
  • Assist team in preparing water/wastewater designs, drawings, specifications, presentations, and reports, and gather information to support design decisions.
  • Assist in basic interpretation and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
  • Work with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer.
  • Assist the team in providing support services during construction, including submittal reviews, responses to requests for information, and contract document clarifications.
  • Perform field work related to construction activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.
Qualifications
  • Has well-developed understanding of concepts of relevant areas of water/wastewater treatment infrastructure design.
  • Possesses excellent time management skills, thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources.
  • Ability to effectively discuss project issues with the project team and support the development of project solutions.
  • Proficiency in relevant discipline software programs and tools, such as BioWin, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and others.
  • Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders, including working in remote/virtual settings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
