Job Summary

We are seeking a Water Engineering Designer to support project teams and our key regional client, DC Water, in the planning, design, and construction of a complex and innovative wastewater and stormwater conveyance system project.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Engineering design and consulting for complex assignments, including hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, development of technical drawings and specifications, review of field investigations, infrastructure condition assessment and rehabilitation, coordination with subconsultants, permitting, and cost estimating.
  • Planning, design, and construction activities for wastewater conveyance system projects and stormwater management system projects.
  • Participate in assignments as a member of a team, sometimes in a lead role in particular areas of expertise, including peer mentorship of design and consulting staff.
  • Regular meeting and presentation of project deliverables to clients.
Qualifications
  • Education: B.S. degree in Civil Engineering is required. MS. degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater engineering consulting performing studies, design, and construction services for municipal clients.
  • Certifications, Licenses: EIT licensure highly encouraged to be eligible to take PE licensure exam.
