About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Communications Specialist to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our Communications team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic communications plans to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies to engage stakeholders and promote our brand
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize communications needs
  • Write, edit, and proofread high-quality communications content for various channels and audiences
  • Design and implement effective internal and external communications campaigns to drive business results
  • Provide communications support for business development initiatives and client engagement
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our communications efforts
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, with a focus on strategic communications and change management
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications campaigns
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences and channels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with internal communications platforms such as Poppulo, FirstUp, or SharePoint
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or InDesign
  • Experience planning or facilitating in-person and virtual meetings or working sessions
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CMAP) certification
