Senior Communications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Communications Specialist to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our Communications team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic communications plans to support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies to engage stakeholders and promote our brand
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize communications needs
- Write, edit, and proofread high-quality communications content for various channels and audiences
- Design and implement effective internal and external communications campaigns to drive business results
- Provide communications support for business development initiatives and client engagement
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our communications efforts
- 5+ years of experience in communications, with a focus on strategic communications and change management
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications campaigns
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences and channels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with internal communications platforms such as Poppulo, FirstUp, or SharePoint
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or InDesign
- Experience planning or facilitating in-person and virtual meetings or working sessions
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CMAP) certification
