On-Site Visual Communication Specialist

Are you proficient in InDesign and Illustrator? The individual in this position will engage in a variety of projects and will play a key role in executing direct mail initiatives. Previous prepress experience is advantageous.

This role also encompasses a customer service aspect. We seek a candidate who is comfortable interacting with clients and managing print and direct mail requests. A proactive attitude and a commitment to fostering a collaborative team atmosphere are essential. A strong work ethic is crucial for success in this position.

The ideal applicant possesses a background in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of one year of professional experience. Candidates must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong interpersonal and communication abilities, along with proficiency in graphic design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in gathering project requirements and specifications, brainstorming and creating design concepts, presenting ideas to management and/or clients, and refining designs based on feedback.
  • Utilize computer software and/or hand rendering techniques to produce designs, selecting colors, images, textures, and shapes to create layouts.
  • Develop materials for print marketing, promotional displays, newsletters, and more.
  • Modify files from others in various formats as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the print industry or prepress is a plus.
  • A college degree or relevant experience in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • At least one year of pertinent experience is required; a portfolio showcasing your work is necessary (freelance work accepted).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, vendors, and others.
  • Self-sufficient; capable of working independently and taking responsibility for projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to switch tasks efficiently, and adept at managing time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Highly professional and reliable.
