We are currently seeking a highly driven and meticulous Permanent Senior Accounting Specialist to become an integral part of our dynamic finance team. This role is essential in overseeing and managing the general ledger accounts and financial transactions of our organization.

The selected candidate will utilize accounting principles to evaluate financial data, generate precise and timely financial reports and statements, ensure compliance with accounting control procedures, and formulate budgets and financial forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and analyze comprehensive monthly financial and management reports, including income statements, balance sheets, budgets, and cash flow projections.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of financial data to assess and report on the company's financial performance.
  • Participate in the ongoing enhancement and implementation of accounting systems and business processes to ensure scalability.
  • Coordinate the audit process, liaising with external auditors and the finance committee; ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting, providing insightful financial data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting functions and operations, offering strategic recommendations to optimize financial performance.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to reinforce internal controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably in a senior capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient understanding of bookkeeping and accounting standards, practices, and regulations.
  • High proficiency in financial reporting, including monthly reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, along with accounting software and databases.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management.
