Position Overview

The Senior Customer Support Specialist plays a crucial role within the Contact Center, addressing, investigating, and resolving customer inquiries that come through various communication channels such as phone, e-fax, email, and chat. This position requires responding to customers in their preferred communication method while ensuring a courteous and timely interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize various software applications effectively, including internal and external websites, telephone systems, and CRM applications.
  • Document relevant information accurately in systems and web forms during customer interactions.
  • Ensure all transactions are conducted with precision, courtesy, and efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree

Experience:

Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in customer service, with a preference for contact center experience. Candidates with an Associate's Degree may qualify with three (3) years of experience, while those with a Bachelor's Degree may qualify with two (2) years of experience.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Strong rapport-building skills with customers to identify their concerns effectively.
  • Familiarity with current CRM systems.
  • Understanding of printer functions and basic troubleshooting for printing and scanning issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to articulate complex actions regarding customer service requests.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively under supervision.
  • Experience in documentation using standard business practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

It is essential that the skill sets of personnel remain current due to the evolving nature of the Customer Relationship Management industry. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that staff are trained in current and future technologies utilized by the Department of the Navy at no additional cost to the Government.
