Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Specialist to become a key member of our finance team. This role is essential in managing and overseeing the general ledger accounts and business transactions of our organization. The ideal candidate will utilize accounting principles to analyze financial data, prepare timely and accurate financial reports, ensure compliance with accounting control procedures, and assist in budget development and financial forecasting. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash management, general ledger maintenance, payroll, and budgeting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of financial data to assess and report on the organization's financial performance.
  • Engage in the ongoing enhancement and implementation of accounting systems and processes to support scalability.
  • Coordinate the audit process, working closely with external auditors and the finance committee to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls to adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing valuable financial insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to optimize accounting functions and enhance financial performance.
  • Document and develop accounting policies and business processes to reinforce internal controls.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior capacity.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CMA, CGA, or CPA) is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient in bookkeeping and accounting practices, standards, and regulations.
  • High level of expertise in financial reporting, including month-end reports and financial statements.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel, as well as accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking capabilities and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
