Job Overview:

As a Strategic Lead for Motion GEOINT Operations, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting the development, execution, and refinement of both immediate tactical and long-term strategic plans for GDIT's Motion GEOINT Solutions (MGS) portfolio. This role is pivotal in ensuring that we not only meet current customer demands but also anticipate future needs.
  • Set the direction, objectives, and strategic goals for specific products or product lines.
  • Oversee the complete release process, collaborating across departments to ensure timely delivery of market-ready products.
  • Coordinate major initiatives to enhance product capabilities across the GDIT MGS portfolio.
  • Engage closely with PMO teams to facilitate initial design sessions for significant product initiatives.
Impact of the Role:
  • Manage daily operations within the assigned program area, including technical tasks, staff oversight, and business development activities.
  • Define and implement tactical and strategic roadmaps to ensure GDIT remains proactive in addressing customer needs.
  • Assist in planning activities, including roadmap development and systems integration, while providing recommendations to PMOs for various customer segments.
  • Coordinate initiatives to enhance product capabilities across multiple customer segments and program managers.
  • Provide technical, administrative, and operational management for assigned business development and strategic planning tasks.
  • Collaborate with a diverse range of customers and contractors, including project plan preparation and status briefings.
  • Participate in customer meetings, exercises, conferences, and tradeshows, serving as a primary liaison.
  • Engage with vendors and other agencies on behalf of GDIT's MGS portfolio.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to create and implement strategic plans for business growth, particularly in product development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with modern software design principles, including user-centered design and DevOps.
  • Experience in implementing user stories in accordance with design and best practices.
  • Knowledge of software design and implementation.
  • Experience with the Agile Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Agile Certified Product Manager (ACPMA) or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Full Motion Video, Motion Imagery, Overhead Imagery, and/or Synthetic Aperture Radar is desirable.
  • Location preference: DC metro area with the ability for limited travel.
