Senior Data Scientist for Motion Imagery

The Senior Data Scientist will work on a small team in a secure facility in the northern Virginia area, collaborating closely with NGA experts, Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) contractors, reservist SMEs, and other NGA contractors to develop capabilities supporting the Motion GEOINT Tradecraft Modernization project.
Key Responsibilities- Collects and analyzes statistics and information from multiple sources to identify trends and gain maximum insight that can give the company a competitive advantage.
- Communicates informed conclusions and recommendations across an organization's leadership structure.
- Strategizes and identifies unique opportunities to locate and collect new data, explores and mines data from many angles, and determines what it means.
- Communicates data findings to both business and IT leaders to influence how an organization approaches and meets the business challenges of an evolving customer base and changing marketplace, using strong business acumen.
- Finds and recommends new uses for existing data sources; designs modifies, and builds new data processes; and builds large, complex data sets.
- Conducts statistical modeling and experiment design, and tests and validates predictive models.
- Builds web prototypes and performs data visualization.
- Conducts scalable data research on and off the cloud.
- Develops customized algorithms to solve analytical problems with incomplete data sets and implements automated processes for efficiently producing scale models.
- Collaborates with database engineers and other scientists to develop, refine, and scale data management and analytics procedures, systems, workflows, best practices, and other issues.
- Implements new or enhanced software designed to access and handle data more efficiently.
- Trains the data management team on new or updated procedures.
- Writes and implements quality procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis.
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher in a related field.
- 7+ years experience.
- Active TS/SCI DoD Clearance.
- Leading, integrating, defining tasks, validating.
- Demonstrate advanced application of knowledge and skills in the field and have demonstrated this knowledge and skill in previous work.
- Fully capable of meeting all services required without direction.
- Capable of providing direction to lower-level employees and of performing quality control and quality assurance checks on other employees' work.
- May provide oversight of fellow Contractor employees from their own company.
- Expected to provide advice to Government leadership on processes, procedures, technology, and items of interest.
- Expected to lead collaboration across NGA and IC analysts in the performance of services.
- Provide senior-level support to NGA office-level leadership.

AEVEX Aerospace provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this position is for the listed location only.
Salary Range
$220,000 - $232,000USD
