Position Overview

The Vice President of Regional Sales is accountable for overseeing a dedicated team of Regional Sales Managers and Territory Account Managers, alongside Manufacturers Representative Agents within the designated region. This role encompasses three Sales Territories across a significant area of the Central United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Sales Team to achieve organizational goals and performance metrics.
  • Formulate and execute strategies aimed at boosting sales revenue to meet established targets.
  • Engage actively in senior management meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations that influence firm policies and client service.
  • Exhibit a proactive approach to problem-solving when challenges arise.
  • Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment, promoting positivity among all staff members.
  • Oversee a specific internal management area, such as new hire onboarding or team morale.
  • Assist in the recruitment of new team members who align with the company’s long-term vision.
  • Analyze sales reports, CRM data, and market trends to inform business decisions.
  • Promote the company's value proposition effectively to partners and end customers.

External Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and senior management at both the channel and end-user levels.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, participate in pitches, and aid in the development of proposals.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing Large National Accounts and top independent distributors.

Communication and Process Leadership

  • Lead an account team effectively, ensuring all administrative components are organized (work plans, contracts, budgets, etc.) and that client satisfaction remains high.
  • Draft strategic communication plans and campaign strategies that highlight the company's unique value proposition.
  • Exhibit exceptional writing capabilities.
  • Consistently meet both internal and external deadlines.

Financial and Administrative Oversight

  • Regularly update revenue projections and manage operations to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Control expense budgets to ensure high client satisfaction while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through improved internal processes.
  • Submit expense reimbursement requests as necessary.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales Management or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Strong public speaking abilities.
  • Proven experience in developing effective communication and campaign strategies.
  • Capability to mentor and manage junior staff.
  • Outstanding project management skills.
  • Familiarity with issues pertinent to customer interests.
  • Must reside within the region and be accessible to major transportation hubs.
