Vice President of Regional Sales

Overview
Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Sales, this role is pivotal in overseeing a dedicated team of Regional Sales Managers and Territory Account Managers, along with Manufacturers Representative Agents across the region. The Central Region encompasses 3 Sales Territories, spanning 13 States within the United States. This position is also accountable for crafting and implementing the national sales strategy concerning distribution and the promotion of the organization's products to end users and electrical contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively lead the Sales Team to achieve the objectives and expectations set by the organization.
- Formulate and execute strategies to enhance sales revenue and meet designated targets.
- Participate actively in senior management meetings, contributing ideas, insights, and recommendations on company policies, staffing, client service, new business initiatives, and other topics that influence the overall quality of the organization.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving when challenges or concerns arise.
- Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment for colleagues at all levels.
- Take charge of a specific internal management area (e.g., new hire orientation, technical support, office morale).
- Assist in the recruitment of new staff who are likely to become valuable long-term contributors.
- Analyze Sales Reports, CRM data, and business trends relevant to the organization.
- Exhibit the ability to effectively communicate the company's value proposition to partners and end customers.
- Build relationships with executive-level and senior management personnel at both the channel and end-user levels.
- Identify new business opportunities, engage in new business presentations, and assist in the preparation of proposals.
- Experience in managing Large National Accounts and top-tier independent distribution.
- Assume full responsibility for leading an account team, ensuring all administrative elements are organized (work plan, contract, budget, projections), clients report high satisfaction, and the team collaborates effectively to deliver exceptional results.
- Draft strategic communication plans and campaign strategies that showcase the company's value proposition and offer tailored solutions to customer needs.
- Exhibit exceptional writing capabilities.
- Consistently meet deadlines for both internal and external commitments.
- Regularly update revenue projections and manage operations to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Oversee expense budgets to ensure high client satisfaction while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs by enhancing internal systems or processes.
- Submit expense reimbursement requests as necessary.
- A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales Management or a related field are required.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Outstanding public speaking abilities.
- Experience in developing successful communication and campaign strategies.
- Capability to manage and mentor junior staff members.
- Exemplary project management skills.
- Familiarity with issues pertinent to customer interests.
- Must reside within the region and be located near a major airport hub.
