HR Business Partner

Barnabas Center is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing department functions by planning, implementing, and developing training, onboarding, and employee orientation programs. This role will also assist with the administration of employee benefits, audits, maintaining employee handbook, HR policies, and procedures, and answer employee questions regarding benefits, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement mandatory training plans and onboarding programs.
- Attend virtual and in-person job recruitment events as necessary.
- Assist managers with recruitment and interview processes, including job requisitions in the electronic onboarding portal, scheduling applicants, conducting telephone and in-person interviews, and completing background screenings as necessary.
- On-board new employee information into payroll and timekeeping systems to create an electronic and paper employee record.
- Verify I-9 documentation, complete E-Verify, and maintain files.
- Schedule and conduct New Employee Orientation activities, including meeting arrangements and compilation of New Employee Orientation packets.
- Assist with benefit enrollment for eligible employees and benefit administration, including health, dental, voluntary life, vision, Section 125 flexible benefits, and Simple IRA retirement plan.
- Develop and distribute monthly Employee Newsletter.
- Assist with updating and maintaining Company Employee Handbook.
- Assist CAO with Employee Performance Review process.
- Assist Chief Administrative Officer in managing online employee store, including inventory, employee swag bucks tracker, and distribution of swag bucks.
- Co-Chair DEI Committee, support ongoing activities, and the reward and recognition program.
- Assist CAO with projects and assignments as necessary.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- 2-3 years using web-based recruiting and onboarding systems.
- Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills necessary to communicate and work effectively with management and co-workers.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to take initiative to complete projects, tasks, and assignments.
- Ability to empathize and defuse sensitive or contentious employee issues.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. 3 years in similar HR Business Partner position with recruiting, onboarding, training, and benefits administration.
Preferred Education and ExperienceN/A.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications (licensure, certification)SHRM Certified Professional.
