POSITION SUMMARY

KMRG, LLC is in search of a skilled Litigation Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing essential support to the U.S. Attorney's Office, focusing on civil litigation matters. The successful candidate will engage in comprehensive litigation assistance, including electronic discovery, document analysis, and case preparation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough research and evaluation of case law, statutes, and judicial precedents.
  • Perform litigation support functions, particularly for Affirmative Civil Enforcement (ACE) cases.
  • Utilize advanced legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis for effective information gathering.
  • Assist in managing discovery processes, including the organization of documents in response to requests.
  • Draft and issue subpoenas and civil investigatory demands as needed.
  • Contribute to pretrial preparations, including scheduling and organizing evidence.
  • Support the preparation of legal documents and materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Facilitate the organization of documents for efficient retrieval and storage.
  • Assist in creating computerized presentations for pretrial and trial purposes.
  • Employ litigation support software for effective case management.
  • Utilize tools for data management and analysis to streamline processes.
  • Ensure high-quality standards are maintained throughout all electronic file processing tasks.
  • Provide assistance and training to colleagues on litigation support applications.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant administrative or technical roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with litigation support software and electronic discovery processes is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively and maintain a customer-oriented approach.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor's Degree is required, along with at least one year of experience in electronic discovery roles.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This position requires U.S. citizenship due to its support of federal government operations. Travel may be necessary as part of the role.
