Litigation Support Specialist

Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC is in search of a Litigation Support Specialist to enhance its team in the Litigation Practice Group. This role is well-suited for individuals with a background in litigation, who exhibit outstanding organizational and communication capabilities, and thrive in a cooperative team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with proficiency in various PDF applications.
  • Manage the electronic submission of both straightforward and intricate legal documents in State and Federal courts.
  • Draft legal documents for electronic submission, such as deposition notices, filing notifications, pro hac vice motions, supporting affidavits, and basic court orders.
  • Prepare subpoenas for both domestic and international cases.
  • Handle Open Records Requests and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
  • Knowledge of litigation support software and its applications (e.g., IPRO, Everlaw, Relativity).
  • Understanding of appellate brief regulations, formatting, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong writing and legal drafting proficiency.
  • Accurate maintenance of time entries for all billable hours.
  • Collaborate closely with other support personnel.
  • Adhere to all firm policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance when interacting with clients, attorneys, judges, and other parties involved in cases.

Educational Background: A paralegal degree or certificate, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, professional experience, and training within a legal environment.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be necessary, which could include overnight stays.

Employment Type: Full-time position with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours. Additional or irregular hours may be required to fulfill essential responsibilities.
