Position Overview

Role: SAIC is in search of a Systems Engineer to deliver systems engineering and technical advisory support. The ideal candidate will:


• Spearhead the risk issue and opportunity (RIO) process as an integral member of the risk management team.


• Collaborate with various site and enterprise-level Risk Management boards.


• Engage with the Technical Planning Guidance team, architecture steering group, and other strategic forums related to new acquisitions.


• Create risk assessments and presentations for diverse audiences, effectively communicating information to leadership.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:


• Must be a US Citizen.


• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.


• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience; or a master's degree in a STEM field with at least seven (7) years of experience.


• Experience throughout the system engineering life cycle; familiar with requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, architecture, and CONOPS development.


• Capability to work autonomously while supporting multiple government clients and large, intricate projects throughout the system development lifecycle.


• Self-motivated, proactively addressing customer needs with minimal oversight; adept at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics.


• Eager to learn, with a willingness to apply and share knowledge.


• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment.


• Proactive in collaborating and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, serving as a consensus builder.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Direct and current experience with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).


• Understanding of GEOINT and SIGINT within the overall space and ground architecture.


• Familiarity with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Agile development methodologies, cloud technologies, and government technical standards.


• Experience in project management with delivered systems.
