Title: Systems Engineer – Requirements Management

KBR is currently looking for a skilled Systems Engineer with expertise in Requirements Management to be part of our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing requirements for space and ground systems, as well as contributing to the development and enhancement of general systems engineering processes.

Here's a detailed breakdown of the role:

  • Owner of Requirements Management (RM) processes within the Acquisition Office Systems Engineering Plan (SEP)
    • Assume responsibility for coordinating updates to relevant RM content
    • Ensure alignment of processes with Acquisition Office and Enterprise procedures
    • Interact with SMEs to guarantee the technical accuracy and consistency of FUNs
    • Maintain RM tool traces for FUNS-to-Epics
    • Support test team for test scope planning
  • Acquisition Office primary Enterprise interface regarding Enterprise functional requirements (FUNs) through System Requirements Documents (SRDs)
    • Work closely with SMEs to ensure the technical accuracy of FUNs
    • Support in updating FUNs or Epics based on Enterprise negotiations
    • Assume ownership of Acquisition Office requirements baseline supporting TEMs and assess proposed changes
  • Primary CDRL review for requirements management content
  • Review all RFCs related to system or functional requirements impacting the Acquisition Office
  • Support readiness event chart development and Risk, Issue, and Opportunity maturation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM field
  • 9-13 years of experience with a BS, or 7-11 years of experience with a MS in systems engineering
  • Prior experience in systems engineering and requirements management
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of mission threats
  • Experience with government satellite systems and/or space situational awareness
  • Knowledge of Agile programs and managing requirements within such environments
