Position Overview

SAIC is in search of a dedicated Systems Engineer to deliver systems engineering and technical advisory support. The successful candidate will be responsible for:


• Leading the Risk Issue and Opportunity (RIO) process as an integral member of the risk management team.


• Collaborating with various site and enterprise-level Risk Management boards.


• Engaging with the Technical Planning Guidance team, architecture steering group, and other strategic forums related to new acquisitions.


• Creating risk assessments and presentations for diverse audiences, ensuring clear and articulate communication to leadership.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:


• Must be a US Citizen.


• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.


• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience; or a master's degree in a STEM field with at least seven (7) years of experience.


• Experience in the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, architecture, and CONOPS development.


• Ability to work autonomously while supporting multiple government clients and managing large, complex projects throughout the system development lifecycle.


• Self-motivated individual who proactively addresses customer needs with minimal supervision, capable of defining solutions for broad and abstract topics.


• Eager to learn and share knowledge, demonstrating polished communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent interpersonal abilities.


• Proficient in collaboration and coordination with various stakeholders, acting as a consensus builder.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Direct and current experience with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).


• Familiarity with GEOINT and SIGINT space and ground architecture.


• Knowledge of Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Agile methodologies, cloud technologies, and government technical standards.


• Experience in project management with delivered systems.
