Key Responsibilities- Procurement Planning: Plan and direct all purchasing department functions, including the acquisition of goods and services.
- Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Direct and verify cycle counts, inventory control, and scheduled inventories to ensure accurate inventory levels and minimize obsolete items.
- Cost Analysis: Provide cost and vendor analysis for goods and services, ensuring optimal pricing and supplier selection.
- Performance Metrics: Establish, maintain, and monitor buyer performance metrics, including inventory turns, material cost history, material availability, and vendor quality issues.
- 4+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Critical thinker with the ability to organize tasks, records, and schedules effectively.
- Superior attention to detail with a focus on high-quality service and product.
- Experience operating within an ISO Registered Program.
- Experience with computer purchasing/inventory systems.
- Coachable with openness to learn and master our system before recommending improvements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Solid understanding of the Pull Method of Manufacturing (Kanban).
EPCO Products, Inc. offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $70K - $75K based on experience and proven successful accomplishments. We also offer excellent medical insurance benefits, a 100% vested 401(k) program with up to a 4% match, vacation, holiday pay, and tuition reimbursement. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in our Gainsharing Bonus plan, which affords opportunities to earn unlimited percentage gainsharing bonus every four weeks.
