Miami Beach Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordination Specialist to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing their healthcare journey with exceptional service and efficiency. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate all patient-related healthcare requirements with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls with professionalism, adhering to established communication protocols.
  • Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Confirm patients' health insurance coverage and eligibility.
  • Organize patient appointments and follow up on any missed visits.
  • Accurately verify and update patient demographic records.
  • Collect and document patient payments accurately.
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with team members to support patient-centered care initiatives.
  • Perform various administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or clerical role within a healthcare environment is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel, internet navigation, and Electronic Health Records systems is essential.
  • Strong customer service orientation and decision-making capabilities are crucial.
