Job Description:
The Patient Experience Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring positive and memorable experiences for patients at the University of Miami Health System. They serve as a bridge between patients and the health system, addressing concerns and complaints to enhance patient satisfaction. Collaborating with clinical and administrative colleagues, the Specialist navigates complex feedback and complaints, ensuring timely resolutions in alignment with internal and external guidelines.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional support to patients, families, and staff, fostering positive experiences.
- Contribute to a healing environment by improving communication and connection among stakeholders.
- Collect and document feedback accurately, maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Act as a resource for patients and families, addressing questions and concerns effectively.
- Utilize conflict resolution skills to address and escalate patient concerns appropriately.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to team goals.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Demonstrated commitment to organizational values.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
