Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our Lifestyle team in our New York office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading media relations efforts, building lasting relationships with journalists and media members, and participating in strategy and brainstorming sessions to help plan and execute media campaigns.

Responsibilities
  • Lead media relations efforts to secure earned media, focusing on marquee feature stories in top national outlets and emerging media platforms.
  • Cultivate genuine relationships with journalists and media members, fostering trust and mutual respect.
  • Assist with facilitating media events and product launches, ensuring every detail is perfect and every attendee feels welcome.
  • Participate in strategy and brainstorming sessions to help plan and execute media campaigns.
  • Support the growth and advancement of junior staff through mentoring, development, and retention efforts.
  • Communicate with clients as a trusted contact and resource, providing support and guidance with professionalism and empathy.
  • Participate in the ideation, execution, and recommendation of brand collaborations, partnerships, talent-led campaigns, and event strategies, leveraging creativity to resonate with key media and target audiences.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of full-time, post-graduate experience in public relations and media relations.
  • Genuine enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of the Lifestyle and Entertainment industries with a proven track record of delivering impactful stories across diverse media.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the media landscape, including print, online, broadcast, and new-media channels, enabling effective media outreach and engagement to secure great results.
  • Genuine relationships with top media outlets and key freelance writers, and a willingness to build their network further.
  • Ability to create processes to organize both their work and the work of those they are delegating tasks for completion and review.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills online and in-person.
  • Ability to travel for work-related events or meetings, allowing for engagement and collaboration across diverse settings.
