Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Oil States. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for expanding our customer base in the Permian Basin by identifying, targeting, and developing relationships with new and existing customers who are potential candidates for our services and products.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in sales, marketing, and business development in the oil and gas industry. You will be responsible for managing existing customers, developing new business opportunities, and establishing cross-selling techniques to convert existing clients to a broader use of our technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy that is aligned with our corporate initiatives
  • Identify trends and customer demand through market intelligence and build a short-term and long-term sales objective
  • Develop a detailed understanding of our product offerings and provide opportunities for further product development based on customer demand
  • Manage and communicate sales opportunities, RFPs, and response processes, MSAs, and any other day-to-day sales interaction with clients
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, trade shows, industry events, and position our company as a leader in the plug and perf market and lower completions sector
  • Recommends business development strategy and tactics to our Leadership Team for incorporation into our overall strategy and plan
  • Establishes self as our primary interface with end users by making regular visits to present technical information, educating clients, assisting in product selection, following up on product deployment, evaluating and reporting product performance, and provide feedback to our company in support of product development, client satisfaction, and follow-on sales efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing, related field, or combination of education and experience
  • Years of experience in field sales, marketing, and business development in the oil and gas industry
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Professional, confident, dependable, and keen negotiator
  • Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, detail-oriented, and thorough
  • Highly organized and an expert when it comes to our company's goals and needs
