About the Role

Cannon Corp is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team in San Luis Obispo. As an Office Assistant, you will provide administrative support to various departments, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to various departments, including filing, copying, archiving, and typing.
  • Communication: Answer incoming calls and be the first point of contact for visitors entering the office.
  • Office Operations: Perform routine office tasks necessary for the operation of a professional office, including preparing correspondence and transmittals for regular and overnight mail.
  • Supply Management: Receive, sort, and route incoming deliveries, and conduct company and client deliveries.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate company events, training, and meetings, working closely with Human Resources, Marketing, and other groups.
  • Clerical Tasks: Respond to miscellaneous clerical and administrative tasks, including decorating the office for events and holidays.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years of work experience in an administrative function within an office setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, strong time management skills, and ability to prioritize work, projects, and requests.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry boxes and supplies up to 35lbs, kneel, bend, reach, handle, push, and lift frequently.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
