Waste Connections is seeking a dedicated Client Support Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our customers.

This position operates on a standard workweek, ensuring a balanced work-life environment.

Compensation starts at $20-22/hour, with a potential pay range of $20-26/hour. We pride ourselves on offering regular pay increases, comprehensive family benefits, consistent hours, 401k matching, and additional perks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with various departments to address customer concerns and develop proficiency in proprietary operational systems.
  • Engage with customers through interviews, documenting essential information for service requests, whether through phone or in-person interactions.
  • Complete necessary contract documentation, assess service charges, collect deposits, and manage service change requests.
  • Exhibit proficiency in software applications, particularly MS Word and Excel.
  • Deliver services in a manner that fosters positive relationships, working closely with customers and colleagues to identify service needs and resolve issues.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, high-volume call environment while promoting additional services.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The role is primarily office-based, featuring clean, well-ventilated, and well-lit areas. Each Client Support Specialist is typically assigned their own workstation equipped with necessary tools.
  • While the call environment may be busy and repetitive, maintaining high service standards is crucial.
  • Extended periods of sitting, typing, or using a computer are expected.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in a high-volume call center is essential.
  • Strong command of English for reading, writing, and communication is required.
  • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and email is preferred, along with necessary typing and 10-key skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication abilities are a must.
  • Bi-lingual candidates (Spanish/English) are highly desirable.
  • Capability to analyze and resolve issues, compile data, and prepare reports is important.
  • Experience in collections is advantageous.
