Job Title: Air Travel Specialist

At Natural Habitat Adventures, we are seeking a highly skilled Air Travel Specialist to join our Travel Desk team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and staff by booking airfare and managing travel logistics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and book flight itineraries for guests, staff, and guides, considering route and cost.
  • Learn and communicate airline change and cancellation policies, as well as our travel insurance policy, to guests.
  • Assist guests with purchasing advance seating and manage airline reservations, including schedule changes and cancellations.
  • Send final flight confirmations to guests and process ticketing via Amadeus GDS platform.
  • Understand airline commission contracts and process voluntary and involuntary exchanges and refunds.
  • Provide assistance with emergency situations, such as canceled flights, delayed arrivals, and missed connections.
  • Reserve additional hotel nights and transfers as needed.
  • Perform weekly and monthly reporting of Travel Desk sales and commissions.
Requirements:
  • Proficient use of Amadeus or alternative GDS ticketing systems for international and domestic ticketing.
  • Background in travel or hospitality industry with experience in travel logistics preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong skills in time management, multitasking, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Able to prioritize and efficiently manage multiple tasks.

Work Environment:

Local candidates are expected to attend the office at least two days per week, while remote candidates will need to travel to Colorado at least twice a year for in-person meetings and job-specific tasks.
