Job Overview

Position Summary

Insight Global is seeking a dedicated Child Welfare Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing guidance, mentorship, and assistance to youth aged 12-17 in a supportive environment. The specialist will work closely with unaccompanied minors, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage with children during all program activities, adhering to established protocols.
  • Implement approved strategies to teach essential life skills, including social interaction and relationship development.
  • Encourage personal hygiene and organization within living spaces, promoting a sense of responsibility.
  • Support academic success by preparing children for educational activities and facilitating access to medical support when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including shift logs, incident reports, and bed checks.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Administer medication in compliance with agency and state regulations, ensuring health needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Provide transportation for scheduled appointments and outings using agency vehicles.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in immigration, child welfare, social services, or related areas.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Valid driver's license with fewer than 7 points.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Work Schedule:

Wednesday - Thursday: 10:30 PM – 8:30 AM
Friday - Saturday: 10:30 PM – 10:00 AM

Compensation:

Salary range: $18.81/hr. - $26.21/hr. Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education.
