Qualifications for the Role:
- Valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance (if transporting clients).
- Genuine passion for working with older adults.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Prior experience in home care, nursing facilities, or hospital environments is preferred.
- Maintain necessary certifications as applicable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services related to hygiene and physical needs as outlined in the client's Care Plan, including assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare meals for clients and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, including the use of mechanical lifts when properly trained.
- Remind clients to take their medications as prescribed.
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as social interaction, transportation, housekeeping, and errands.
- After receiving specific training and demonstrating proficiency, may assist with technology training, non-skilled home maintenance, and home exercise programs.
- Document client interactions and submit reports bi-weekly.
