MRI Specialist II-IV Certified

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Specialist II-IV Certified to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed MRI procedures of designated anatomical areas, under the general direction of the radiologist and supervisor.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize hospital and radiology information systems to access patient information, including appointment times, exam types, and patient reports, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Set up and administer IV contrast media, explaining the procedure and process to patients, and engaging radiologists and/or LIPs as necessary.
- Perform visual and manual quality control checks of MRI equipment, using imaging and peripheral equipment safely and productively.
- Implement patient procedures independently, following departmental protocols and standards, and providing patient comfort and privacy throughout the procedure.
- Assess patient information and status, planning appropriate procedures accordingly, and recognizing medical emergencies.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of experience in radiologic technology
- Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification in New York State
- ARRT Primary Certification/Registration
- New York State License (Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy)
