Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist II-IV Certified. In this role, the successful candidate will execute medically indicated MRI examinations of specified anatomical regions, guided by the radiologist and departmental supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing hospital and radiology information systems relevant to imaging services.
2. Ensure accurate selection of patient data from HIS/RIS systems, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
3. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the complete cycle of RIS patient tracking.
4. Document start, completion, and departure times in RIS as per departmental policies.
5. Exhibit competence in scheduling examinations and modifying orders as necessary.
6. Maintain organized departmental logbooks and record machine performance data as directed.
7. Administer intravenous contrast media, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
8. Conduct quality control checks on MRI equipment and report any malfunctions promptly.
9. Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients, ensuring their understanding and comfort.
10. Utilize appropriate positioning and immobilization techniques to enhance image quality.
11. Recognize and respond to medical emergencies, notifying appropriate personnel immediately.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Certification in Intravenous Contrast Administration in New York State
- ARRT Primary Certification/Registration and New York State License in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy
- Advanced ARRT Certification in MRI and BLS Certification

Required Licenses:
- Radiologic Technology License - NYS
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification
