MRI Specialist II-IV Certified Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Specialist II-IV Certified to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed MRI procedures of designated anatomical areas, under the general direction of the radiologist and supervisor.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Demonstrates skill in using the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to radiology, and performs visual and manual quality control checks of MRI equipment.
- Patient Care and Safety: Provides for patient comfort before, during, and after procedure, and maintains an ongoing rapport with the patient throughout the procedure to ease any anxiety the patient may have.
- Procedure Implementation: Independently implements patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, and uses identifying markers appropriately.
- Communication and Teamwork: Effectively assesses patients' information and status, and plans appropriate procedure(s) accordingly, and confers with medical staff regarding clarification when necessary.
- Quality Control and Improvement: Recognizes need for and follows isolation precautions, and solves problems that arise during patient examinations using both technical knowledge and innovation.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of experience
- Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification in New York State
- ARRT Primary Certification/Registration New York State License (Radiologic technology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy)
- Advanced ARRT Certification in MRI
