Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Specialist II-IV Certified to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI Procedures: Conduct medically prescribed MRI procedures of designated anatomical areas, under the general direction of the radiologist and supervisor.
  • Utilize Hospital and Radiology Information Systems: Demonstrate skill in using the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to patient information, including accessing patient data and verifying patient information.
  • Administer IV Contrast Media: Demonstrate skill in setup and administration of IV contrast media, including explaining the procedure and process of administration to patients.
  • Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Perform visual and manual quality control checks of MRI equipment, and maintain cleanliness of radiographic areas.
  • Assess Patient Information and Status: Effectively assess patients' information and status, and plan appropriate procedures accordingly.
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or departmental needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 2+ Years of Experience: 2+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification: Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification in New York State.
  • ARRT Primary Certification/Registration: ARRT Primary Certification/Registration in New York State.
  • Advanced ARRT Certification in MRI: Advanced ARRT Certification in MRI.
