Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Assembler to join our team at Rittal North America LLC. This role is essential in ensuring that our assembly processes meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with assemblers to enhance the assembly workflow, aiming for continuous improvement in product quality.
  • Conduct thorough final and in-process inspections within the assembly area, providing constructive feedback to team members.
  • Interpret technical drawings and documentation to verify product compliance with specifications.
  • Complete written and practical examinations to achieve and maintain inspector qualifications.
  • Participate in annual reviews and testing to ensure inspector skills remain current.
  • Inspect a variety of product families, including small and large enclosures as well as OEMs.
  • Utilize and accurately complete all necessary check sheets during inspections.
  • Contribute actively to RPS teams by suggesting ideas for ongoing improvements.
  • Perform inspection tasks efficiently to meet production timelines.
  • Ensure that both processes and products align with customer expectations and Rittal standards.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift. Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds overhead is required. Occasional computer and keyboard use is expected.

Mental Requirements:

Thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing assignments, and demonstrate the ability to multitask. Must be detail-oriented and communicate effectively in both oral and written forms with colleagues, vendors, and customers.

Safety Requirements:

Adhere to safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety-toed footwear, safety glasses, and hearing protection as necessary.

Decision Making:

Follow directives provided verbally or in writing, and assist in making logical decisions.

Relationships:

Direct Contacts: Quality Technicians, Assembly Supervisor, Quality Assurance personnel, and assembly team members.
Indirect Contacts: All other departments within the organization.

Knowledge & Experience:

A high school diploma or GED is required. Candidates should possess problem-solving skills, experience with handheld gauges and measuring tools, and proficiency in Excel and Word. Previous experience in inspection and assembly is preferred.

Work Environment:

Work will take place in warehouse and manufacturing settings, with exposure to varying temperatures and dust.
