Position Overview

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing quality requirements for both domestic and international suppliers. The position also plays a key role in formulating global supplier strategies, including the standardization of quality policies and procedures for third-party purchased goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance metrics, issuing corrective action reports and ensuring completion of performance improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the performance of critical suppliers.
  • Lead teams in qualifying new suppliers when necessary, such as in cases of existing supplier replacement or outsourcing opportunities.
  • Conduct audits, both on-site and remotely, to assess the quality and performance of supplied materials.
  • Facilitate early supplier involvement by collaborating with engineering and supply chain management to engage suppliers in design and process improvements during the product development phase.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field; Quality specialization preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in supplier management within a manufacturing context.
  • Specialized training in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in data-driven problem-solving techniques, including root cause analysis.
  • Ability to analyze and present management reports based on factual data with actionable recommendations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of international quality and testing standards (ISO, IEC, ASTM, etc.).
